Explore the Craftsmanship Behind Our Sustainable Fabrics
As responsible fashion trendsetters, we are committed to working with sustainable fabric suppliers who share our values.
We have carefully selected suppliers who prioritize ethical practices, use organic materials, and minimize their environmental impact.
We distinguish their quality, what makes them special, and their eco-friendliness.
1. Recycled Cotton Fabric
Cotton recycling is the process of turning cotton fabric into fibers that may be reused to make other textile goods. Our recycled cotton fabric embodies sustainability without compromising quality.
We are offering recycled cotton fabrics that are made from textile waste, leftover, and cut waste from the clothing manufacturing process. They are sorted by color, then purified, and made into a pulp by adding a liquid solution.
That could be a chemical liquid solution which might include water mixed with enzymes or chemicals such as sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) or hydrogen peroxide. There is nothing to worry about as the final results are 100% safe for our skin!
Then they are carded by the carding machine, processed into fiber, and spun into new yarn.
This fabric is ideal for various applications, from clothing to home decor, it offers durability and softness, ensuring comfort and style in every use.
Why is the process like that?
Simply because this process allows the production of new fabric without the use of fresh cotton. Quicker, eco-friendly, and of the same quality!
What do you need to take out of all of these?
The products made from such recycled fabrics save a lot of water, as it takes almost 11000lts of fresh water to grow 1 kg of cotton.
Another important thing you need to know is that 40% of the cotton grown in the world is wasted in the process of getting from the cotton fields to the cotton garments.
We just need to visualize, leftover fibers, cotton scraps, cut waste due to fashionable silhouettes, excess cuttings, and excess fabrics. These are disposed of by clothing manufacturers in huge quantities.
2. Virgin Cotton
This is a type of cotton that has not been washed and bleached. Crafted from pure, ethically sourced cotton, our virgin cotton fabric boasts high quality and versatility.
Its natural fibers provide breathability and comfort, making it perfect for our apparel collection, linens, and more.
With a commitment to sustainability, we prioritize eco-friendly practices in its cultivation and production, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint!
3. Cotton Slub
This is another type of cotton that has a rough and uneven texture, which is unique and chic.
Our cotton slub fabric combines organic cotton with slub yarn for a distinctive look and feel. Its irregular texture adds character to apparel and accessories, while its breathable nature ensures comfort throughout the day.
It is produced with sustainability in mind, and reflects our vision of eco-friendly practices, making it a conscious choice for our conscious consumers.
Enjoy its softness and style!
4. Recycled Polyester
Designed for durability, our polyester fabric offers strength and resilience in our unique products. This is also known as our eco friendly microfiber.
While providing excellent color retention and wrinkle resistance, it also contributes to sustainability through its recyclable properties.
How is it made - What is the process?
Plastic bottles are broken down into flakes, the flakes are melted down and turned into pellets, then the pellets are used to spin the “new” polyester fibers.
One positive tidbit is that the process of creating recycled polyester uses 59% less energy compared to virgin polyester.
It is the ideal fabric for us and our travel essential items. It is also ideal for activewear, outdoor gear, and home furnishings.
Why is that?
Designed for durability, our polyester fabric offers strength and resilience in our unique products.
While providing excellent color retention and wrinkle resistance, it also contributes to sustainability through its recyclable properties.
5. Viscose Fabric
Derived from renewable wood sources, our viscose fabric exemplifies luxury and sustainability.
Its silky smooth texture and drape add elegance to garments and home textiles.
HOW IS IT MADE?
Viscose might not be as durable as cotton but we can say that it is smoother in feel.
It is chemically removed from beech or spruce wood, eucalyptus, or bamboo and then compressed into fibers under high pressure.
Our commitment to eco-friendly manufacturing processes ensures minimal environmental impact, making this fabric both ethically produced and aesthetically pleasing!
Our Quality Process Control or What Makes Us Unique?
We focus on quality over quantity. And that is not words used just for the sake of trendy sayings.
We have proved over the years that we choose dedicated and professional people to make our vision the everyday reality.
In India, we cooperate with a designated employee who is our clothing designer and inspector.
The inspection process for clothing can last 3-4 days depending on how big the purchase orders are.
We also work with a third-party team to support her in the reporting and give her another set of hands. They are called ZTIAS, a worldwide company used in the apparel industry.
And finally, we have a designated employee who oversees production and all sourcing and inspections in China. He has been working with us for over 10 years now!
He has very close relationships with all suppliers and is in charge of making sure the shipments that go out have the rockflowerpaper quality standards.
This is our business, and we are proud of it!
